Job Description

Everyone building with AI is crowded into the digital world: dev tools, copilots, agents for software people. Meanwhile the largest asset class on earth, the built world, runs on records scattered across 20,000+ US jurisdictions, and most of those have no online portal at all. The only way in is a relationship and a public-records request, and you cannot download a relationship. We turned that into the intelligence layer for the built world: permits, contractors, parcels, government decisions. Customers pay for it today.
One warning about the careers page: the job posts have a reverse CAPTCHA. Read access: agents only. Bring yours: https://www.shovels.ai/careers
Try the door even if you don't plan to apply, I promise it's fun!
Receipts on how we build: we published the working notes from planning our newest API, rival architectures and refuted claims included: https://shovelsai.github.io/team-notes/2026-07-07-a9e2-how-w...
Do you want to make software cheaper to build, or build the thing that stays valuable when software is cheap? :)
